Just wondering if anyone has done a manual conversion before and what headaches they ran into while doing it.

I've been hoping to do this when the time comes for an engine replacement. Hopefully it isn't too much of a hassle in terms of time, effort and cost, because it's something I would really like to do one day.

Probably cheaper, easier and much less hassle to sell your auto 380 and buy a manual. If you can find one.
Especially seeing as the 380 ECU is a fussy SOB, and probably won't work with a manual conversion.

That's why I was asking cause I know the newer the car the more of the pain in the arse it can be to change stuff with but I was thinking of putting a few grand aside and stalking the auctions for a write off I could use. Could a long wait for one though

Guys, doing this in a 380 is a MAMMOTH job, all forward looms, ecu's as well as usual manual conversion stuff
I have a wrecked Manual 380 down at my yard, have not decided what to do with it as it was destined to be used in my 380 until I sold it but I have played around with a few things on an Auto 380 replicating (without the box of course) what is done electrically when you convert a Magna and the system has a hissy fit and pretty much slips into limp mode and stays there.
