hey all im rebuilding my te magna and what brand of timing belt and Tensioner should i buy, i was told that belt brand isnt im portant as the brand of Tensioner anywasy what are the best value for money kits??

The full kits contain the timing belt, water pump, 2 idlers and the hydraulic tensioner.
Goodyear, Dayco and Gates will sell you the full kits, but the only thing in the kit actually made by them are the belts. Everything else is outsourced and will most likely be unbranded, so quality is a question mark. These kits are the cheapest to buy though. Should include 2 water pump gaskets and "O" ring.

Kits will/may be missing cam and crank seals.

If you are buying individual bits, try the above for the belts, Koyo for the idlers, GMB for the water pump, and NTN for the hydraulic tensioner.

Prices vary greatly. Rock bottom price is to import a kit from the US of A. Highest price will most likely be individual parts from a dealer or local supplier.
