View Full Version : Leaking oil - missing hose?

Oil is leaking from near the rocker cover and it's been suggested it may be a missing hose that runs from what looks like an opening in the rocker cover to the charcoal canister.

This image (tries to but too dark) shows the opening/hole in the rocker cover

Could that be correct? Any help much appreciated.

Hoses from the rocker cover deal with oil fumes. The one to the left of the circle deals with that. Unless it is disconnected from the rocker cover, it looks OK.
Hoses to the charcoal canister deal with petrol vapour.

They are not connected in any way. Whoever suggested that is a Dodo. You is a Dodo for listening to that "advice". lol

Oil leak near the rocker cover is the rocker cover gasket itself, or distributor seal.
