Hi,
Let me preface with.......Yes I'm female and have a head injury so I forget things :eek2: ......this is kinda like the humpty dumpty story. I pulled things apart and then couldn't fix them and now I can't remember how they go back together again. So anyone with an XI Verada KJ vintage could you pls take a photo of ur rear boot aerial section and upload so I can put my mess back together again :woot:
Any tips on how to fix an 8 pin electrial aerial will also be appreciated. One of Mals mecahnics helped me get it to wind the new mast in and I thought it was fixed but when I checked the next day it wouldn't go all the way in so I pulled it apart and found old broken bits inside. I got it to wind in and out perfectly and then secured it to the outside of the car. Feeling very pleased with myself I then turned it on and the inside (that wasn't secured) made it all fall out again. I played with it and had all the pulleys pulled apart and may have put one of the inner springs back in the wrong way??? Don't know?) But now all it will do is wind outwards when turned on and there is no action to wind it in when it's turned off. I know 2 people would be helpful for this process but it's just me and I can't think why I got it the first time and now it won't work. It's got all sorts of yellow grease in there and perhaps I touched the circuit board??? Any thoughts on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
I will try to upload some pics of my mess........:tired:
