G'day all.

Just wondering what the best option is for replacing the engine mounts, especially that bloody drivers side one. I go through them like they're free, which, they are not.
Hoping someone has discovered a longer lasting option.
Thanks, in advance!

You know the mounts you buy have a year warranty?
Check your other mounts too as one of the others being stuffed puts more pressure on drivers sideone. Otherwise shift less harshly oorrr buy a poly mount from forum sponsor megatron. Will put some vibrations through your car at idle though.

Yeah, I know I get warranty lol. I get slightly more than a year, on average. I checked all the other mounts, they are mickey mouse, no cracks or breaks. Perhaps a poly mount is the way to go. Thanks for the advice!

What mounts are you using?
The cheaper ones will not last long.
If you buy OEM or OEM quality they should last much longer.

Get nolathane mounts off Megatron and you will never have to replace it again.

Can not see how you break a mount every 12 months to be honest, I drive my cars often very hard as does Brendon and neither of us break mounts that often. In fact I can not remember ever breaking a mount aside form the odd roll stop mount which is not a big issue and then that is from being silly.

240,000 kms on my wife's old Verada and the drivers side mount only changed once. I guess it depends on how its driven.

There must be another alternative then poly mounts to not break. There must be a place that could make stronger plastic mounts?

It's probably closer to 18 months to be honest, as an average. Point is, I need something that's gonna last longer. Not really all that concerned if people understand it or not. I don't understand it, either. All I know is the sedan goes through them, but the wagon doesn't. Don't ask me to explain it.
