The right knob on the center vents that allows them to blow cool air while the heater is on doesn't quite go all the way up or all the way down in my car.
Any way to fix this?

Oh, is that what it is supposed to do? Mine doesn't go all the way up or down either.
Never used it myself, just lower a window a bit.
Short of suggesting pulling it all apart and checking cables and flaps and things, I'm lost for words.

Yes it's meant to blow unheated air if the heater is on so as to cool your face or something like that.
I think it's primary design is for when hot air goes onto the windscreen to defrost it

Your not alone, common fault.
That knob has a cable that goes to the heater box just to the right of your feet on the drivers side, you can fiddle with where it clips in but it wont do much.

So it's a case of better left broken?

You can ensure the vents are clipped in properly, then when you remove then theres a oval shaped guide, I believe there should be a screw in there, then re clip it back in, honestly you could get it to work but depends how handy you are. I would've fixed mine but where my vents clip in it is actually broken so no point trying to fix it.

This is faulty on most third gens. Reviewers were negative about this when they reviewed the TL as the problem was still not fixed on the later models. One of those things to put up with I think. Inherent design fault.

Mine moves a tiny bit and does change the air temperature but it's obvious that it isn't working as it should.
I guess I will leave it as is

It isn't a full travel dial. It only travels about half way in either direction. It's the way it is designed.

Its a rod that goes down to the air box and attaches to a lever. Mine works fine, but I can't remember if it travels all the way to top and bottom.

Goes all the way to the bottom but only 3/4 to the top.
