I have compared the magna's (tw) brakes to a few different cars now, inlcuding a 380, Mazda cx-7, and a Lancer. Each time I drive them I notice how much more responsive their brakes are. There seems to be less "play" of the pedal before the brakes are applied. Is the less responsive brake pedal in my magna a fixable issue or is that just how all magnas are?

try flushing your braking system, and perhaps some decent front disks and pads. I only had like a spongy half peddle feel to my brakes and I did this to my magna, (used cross drilled and slotted rotors with bendix pads) even went to the extent of rekitting my front callipers and it fixed the issue. I got a tj exec with stock single pot callipers.
