Hi guys, today driving home from work, i started to hear a ringing sound coming from the front of my car. Now the only thing i have done recently is change all the brake rotors and pads, at first i thought it might be the pad and rotor touching and creating a ringing sound, it only seems to happen when the wheel is slightly turned.
I have noticed that the drivers side brake gets extremely hot compared to the others. then i thought it could be the timing belt, it has done 194,000 K's
any help would be great

Needs a serious look at, not long distance mechanical ball gazing or guesswork.

If you want to take a look at it yourself, you can check the stone guard (tin plate) behind the discs. Make sure they are all clear of the discs (they are very easy to bend in and out of the correct position)... Otherwise, like Max has suggested - you will need it checked by someone with an experienced ear.

so after further investigation, and talking with mechanics, we came to a solution that it might be the slides. so i get home and low and behold one of the slides had completely seized in the bracket, and i ended up breaking it trying to get it to move. so its off the the wreckers to get a new bracket for the caliper and new slides hopefully this fixes the problem
