In pics I see that the Xi center console coin tray has some flap that can be opened. Is there a cigarette lighter plug there or is it something else?
And did different years come with any different accessories there?

yes. There is an additional 12V power socket. (no the wiring is only in XI cars)

The only differences are that the coin holder in GTV cars is only a pocket. No power socket. (because of the wiring being missing in EI harnesses)

There is one in japan that is also a cupholder, but they are never for sale

Not trying to prove anyone wrong here, But I had an EI KH verada, The plug for the cigarette lighter was under the drivers seat.. just loosely sitting there under the carpet

the wiring is not that hard to do anyways, i have mine wired in my TE. Just wired it to the phone accessory plug that comes of the upper dash harness(my harness is from a KH verada modified to fit in TE with blackout cluster)

I could just extend the wires from the cigarette lighter where the ashtray is couldn't I?

you mean piggy back it off your existing lighter?

i used some wire splicing clips that were used ti run wires up to mine

I simply exxtended the wires from the original lighter to where the lighter socket is in the coin tray and also did the lighting wires for it as well and changed the lighter so it was lit up and had the ring around the top of it. But any one who knows my car knows i have more LED's then a LED factory inside my car
