Car took ages to fire this morning but eventually did but noticed engine warning light stayed on and is still on
I have to drive to work tomorrow and wonder if its just the battery failing or some thing else
Any ideas

If I can remember correctly, mine did the same sort of thing for a before the battery went.

My thoughts exactly
I remember writing the date on the battery which tells me March 2010 so its over 3years old !
Anyhow I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the CEL has gone so I am reckoning on a new one pretty soon
Cheers

Just to let you know it was the battery
Called RAA who ran their meter on it and it was putting out just over half the amperage. Bought a new 600cca with 2 yr warranty $167
So it seems once your battery is just past 3 yrs replace it.

I've had an average of 6 years out of good quality batteries. 3 years is pretty poor these days. I'd be looking at testing rather than just replacing at the 3 year mark.
