Hi guys,
The other day I was forced to use my horn at this idiot woman.
Anyway, it doesn't sound broken as such, but it sounds ridiculous. It sounds like it belongs on a Kei car.
Is this how the horns sound on the 3rd gen or is something wrong with mine?
And to change the sound, do I just change the horn itself?

No, the horn is regularly regarded as shit.
However, Verada's have 2 horns, one could be corroded on the contact. The second one lives behind the parker light in the bumper. Most people replace the horns with a pair from the 380. Search for part numbers on the forum. They plug in.

If you're not happy with it, change it for a horn off a Falcon; or as Mike said, a Verada, or 380 horns :)

why not replace it with a train horn? not only will people shit themselves and move out of the way, but wildlife and livestock will also get out of your way.

Is it a bumper off job to replace the horn behind the parker light?
Air horns are nice but too much effort for something that doesn't interest me. Some funny youtube videos if anyone is interested with pranks using a train horn

No not a bumper off job. You may need an angle grinder to trim the bracket of what ever horn you get but then all you need is a 10mm socket IIRC otherwise Rachet Spanners are very handy for jobs like these.
Falcon horns come in a Low and High pitch setup so obviously thats why there are two, however im just using the Low horn and it sounds better.

Sports horns? :hmm:
Why do they have dual tone horns?
Is one tone not good enough or something?

I think all new cars have them now. Maybe an ADR? I have the 380 horns in the Magna. It sounded like the Wiggles big red car before!
