quick question.. can anyone tell me if i was to buy a Ralliart ECU would I be able to plug it straight into my VRX? or is there a lot more work involved in replacing the ECU? Also would there be much of a noticeable difference once i have upgraded the exhaust and extractors with the ralliart ECU
Thanks

it would need to be unlocked for it to work , or you need the matching key and bem aswell for it to work , cams would also be a good option I don't think you will notice much difference tbh. ralliarts also had higher compression and port work to the heads .

So not really worth it then?

You would be much better off just getting a custom tune/postal tune (depending on location?) for your current ride? The ralliart tune I am pretty sure makes use of other internal changes, (cams, heads, fuel mapping etc), someone like RPW in Osbourne Park or SKR in South Australia could provide the tune, better benefit than just the ECU itself, without changing BEM etc. Or if you can find someone in WA with the correct cable and can flash your ECU to be a ralliart ECU with the immmobiliser switched off.

If you can get access to an OpenPort cable, read the VRX ROM first and copy the immobiliser code into the Ralliart ROM before flashing - that keeps the immobiliser intact.
OP: more info on reflashing in the thread linked in my sig...

So what you saying is (just to confirm) copy my own ECU to keep the immobiliser intact.. and then flash my VRX ECU to be a ralliart ECU but then enter the immobiliser code into it? ahh so confusing but gotta learn from somewhere i guess.. and yeah i am close to RPW in ossy park

For the love of your car keep well away from RPW. Contact SKR instead
If you do some searches on RPW you will quickly find many many ppl who have been stitched up there
Just get a std used ecu and send to Steve at SKR you will be much better off
