Ok folks i have a sticky question. Maybe someone can shed some light on it for me. I am in NZ and have a import 96 diamante. The stereo in these is a double din. From what i can gather the stereo is a infinity stereo system.

I want to put a cd changer in the boot to go with the stereo. I wish to keep the factory fitted stereo as it is a good stereo but also i have buttons on the steering wheel to control lots of options.

The plug on the back of the stereo is a round plug with 13 pins. I was told by a stereo shop that a kenwood unti might work. I aquired a kenwwd cd changer but this did not seem to go. Wether this was because it was a older unit and was faulty or that it was not compatible, i will never know.

Can anyone share some information on the infinity stereo system and what brand of cd changer will go onto this.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks from down under :)

Infinity head unit = Infinity cd stacker required; I am not aware of any brands that allow you to interchange.

Yes its the mivec head. I have sourced a stacker but it has no cartridge. Does model number UO19 mean anything to anyone. The stereo has a round plug with 13 pins which then a adapter lead goes into this which reduces the cd stacker plug to a round plug with 8 pins. All powers up fine but i need the cd magazine. Maybe someone can shed some light on it.Thanks.
