View Full Version : Question regarding idling adjustment.

Hi there,

With my 96 TE prior to putting the throttle body from a KF Xi into it, I had the idle adjustment screw wound all the way do just to get the car to idle at 750 (its manual), now I put another throttle body out of another car into it, and upon fitting the was idling extremely high, so once again I wound the screw down till it idled properly, this was also all the way down.

My question is, why does my car seem to need to adjust the idle screw all the way closed just to get a proper idle?

I wonder if it is possible that your ISC is stuck in the fully open position? Other thing I should mention... Not sure if it is relevant, but Ill mention it just in case - I tried a 6G73 ISC on a 6G74 and it caused the idle to be very high...

Im using the 3L ISC on the KF Throttle Body.
