OK im sorry i keep making threads about my car you guys must be sick of it.

Anyway, i was driving along and it kept missing so i thought that it was nothing and then as i was driving, it started putting alot farting and all.

It cut out on me while driving along and i whent to start it again. It took like 3 times to get it started and when i did, it was putting for ages and when i look in my rear view mrror, their was a ton of black smoke coming from my car :(

I eventually pulled over in a small street and it just cut off. I whent to start it again, and it was idling rough and kept stalling.

I tried like 3 times and it did the same. I tired one more time and it started but was idling very rough. I turned it off and whent ot check the oil but i dont know what the hell they did, but i tried for ages to take that damn dipstick out but it would not budge

I started it without the oil cap and i out my hand over it and it felt exactly the same as if i put my hand over the exuast (is this normal ?) and it was spitting a little bit of oil.

I managed to drive it home safely and now i am typing this. What could this be ?

I have been driving it nice and slow and have never pushed it since getting the car back.

God damnit!!! this thing has left me broke

Definitely sounds like a fuel problem. Just take it straight back to the people who did the job, tell em to sort it out. You just finished handing them over 1600 dollars.
Carby will be the culpret most likely.

oh damn.

Mine is the EFI motor. ****.

Im going to give them a call now and ask if i can take it down. If it is what you said, i dont think its going to be under warrenty because its my old efi system.

But damnit!! my old engine even with a leaky head gasket never done this to me. When it whent, it just died and that was that.

Never gave me inbetween lol. This thing hasnt even done 400K's and its acting up.

Just got back :)

They fixed it. The guy that was putting it all back together forgot to connect one of the sensors.

Ya know that sensor at the front ? that pokes out of the manifold shroud so you dont burn your hands ?

Well that thing connects onto this other thing that is near the radiator and apparently that tells the computer about how to mix the fuel/air and ****.

When i drove it back it didnt even miss a beat and is running sweet! :dancin:

Also just by pluging that sensor in, it got rid of a noise that was bothering me :D

so if you have the same kind of problem, just check for that sensor :)

Ahh sorry dude, i thought i read somewhere someone got a new engine and used their old intake manifold and carby. My bad.
Haha yeah the O2 sensor being unplugged will make ur car run extra extra rich like you experienced lol . Unplugged mine one day to see if it made any difference ( i thought it might be faulty) , and the car ran ok for like 5 mins, then started putting out.
