I have a tr 2.6 with a check engine light . The code is 23 top dead centre sensor but were is in the engine bay is that . Please help

Yes, in the distributor under a plate with slots in it.
But the problem is more likely to be the electrical connector on the distributor body. Give that a good clean first.
