Hi,
I just bought and picked up a 380 yesterday and drove it 500 miles back home, i love it and what a waste it isn't being built any more.

Just a couple of things i need to know if anyone can help me please.

First: When i lock my doors to walk away it sounds the horn once which keeps scaring the crap out of old people lol and is embarrassing.
If anyone knows how i can make it silent i would be very grateful.

and Second: the car didn't come with an Owners Manual, does anyone know where i can get a pdf or any other kind of copy of this book please?

I look forward to many years of happy motoring with this car and friendships with other 380 owners

Cheers Howard :ninja:

hi and welcome to the forum!

i cant help you with the horn, but for the owners manual you can pick one up from your local mitsu dealer. its the same deal with the service manual

Try pushing the lock button once.

When i borrowed a 380 a little while back, i found 1 click locked it without the horn, 2 clicks locked it with the horn

This is changed in a menu on the center console colour display. You can change other things like two stage unlocking, blinker sounds, headlight off delay etc.

It's all in the manual but if you don't have one, have a play with the buttons under the display. Its fairly self explanatory. Personally I find it useful except when I get home at 1am after work! I just use the key then.

What model 380 do you have? If you've got an SX, VRX or GT you can customise the car, including the locking confirmation by horn through the multi-function centre display as Steve pointed out.

If you've got a model without an MFD, the procedure is different and involves turning the key in the ignition a few times or something - I can't really remember lol

But if you've got an MFD, off the top of my head:

1) Press and hold the "DISP" button;
2) Select "Next Menu";
3) Select "Display Settings, Customisation and Other Settings";
4) Select "Vehicle Customisation";
5) Select "Doors and Central Locking";
6) Select "Locking Confirmation by Horn" - you can then turn the horn off in this sub-menu.
