Guys I've seen the com error linked to "ABS error", should I post this in a different part of the forum?

Would really like some help, I really want that error to go haha, otherwise if I can at least understand it I'll be okay

There's a Kenwood system fitted in this car and I thought maybe that would cause the error, but there's got to be a way to get around it? no?

its because the factory system has been removed, its not an issue. Just press display so its on the one that minimizes it......... you forget its there after awhile

regarding a new headunit, i would recommend something like this Pioneer touchscreen. www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pioneer-AVH-X1550-DVD-6-1-WVGA-USB-TOUCH-SCREEN-IPOD-IPHONE-USB-2-DIN-HEAD-UNIT-/171116570357

Has fully customizable backgrounds & wallpaper, and lighting which you can match to the factory blue lighting of the dash

That's great man, thanks for that :)

I'll look into it when I get the car, got to see how good this aftermarket system is first :p

the 380's have got to be the easiest car to do headunit swaps ive ever come across. Just ask if you need any more info

Comm error can be by-passed if you re wire a stock head unit back in and hide it in the boot. (or where ever really) Foozercool did this with his car. No error messages what so ever.

Be wary about dvd units from over seas. The dvd region is usually different.
On another point. I prefer the large screen units with the controls down the bottom. I hate that almost all car stereo gear is designed for left hand drive vehicles.

agreed, always pays to ask first before buying.

alot of those headunits stick out like a sore thumb, as opposed to sitting flush with the fascia

eg.

Ah yeah, if it needs replacing then we'll see what's out there :)

Wouldn't bother wiring the stock head unit and hiding it lol, don't have it anyway :c
