Hi everyone. I accidentally broke the point the vent pipe attaches to the rocker cover.
This bit: http://i.imgur.com/HcZrHzN.jpg (does it have a proper name?)
The bit that goes into the pipe snapped off the round part sticking up from the cover.
Any ideas on how i can fix that?
Late 92 efi 4cyl.
Thanks.

New cover or lots of araldite (with the cover off the engine). Good clean first, or it won't stick.

Mate, I'd be more inclined to use Liquid Steel. Not sure if that is the correct name but it comes as a putty with a core of hardener. You kneed a piece until mixed and then use.
Make sure the surface is clean of course.

I've used something similar, blue and white coloured strips. Better idea than liquid Araldite. No need to take the rocker cover off if you use a solid one.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I ended up using superglue to put it back on (to hold it in place). I then used some of the metal fibre reinforced bog type stuff to go over the whole thing after roughing it up a fit with a file . About to take it for a drive, I guess ill see how it goes.
Isnt the prettiest fix but it seems pretty strong.
