Hey :D
was wondering if any one has ever bought a set of lifters for a tp? mine needs them and im wondering if prices and quality vary and if the city prices are better than the regional prices?
and help is much appreciated! :D

Mine were ****ed so i needed new ones at time of stem seals. My mechanic charged me 65 for all new ones, not sure if thats good or not. (not incl labour) tiny buggers r expenisve
How much are they after?

there not cheap compared to holden etc, but $65 each is a bit excessive. From what I've heard the Genuine ones are the best quality available, Most of the non gen will tap with less km, but if you can get them at the right price......
As with all parts the prices vary city to country, if you ring around you might find a dealer in a nearby town willing to offer trade prices (like i did :D )

i got told i can get them for $12 each plus i got a mate who will fit them for a carton of beer he did my valve stem seals and said when the car starts ticking get the lifters done cause they are almost ****ed

yeah there is a few of them, 12 bucks sounds okay, i dont need to worry bout labour prices coz hubby can fit them he'd kicking himself that he didnt do when he reco'd the head earlier this year, but thems the breaks. Yeah i will do the ring around in the southern end of the state to see what prices they have..... friggen cars theres always something wrong with them that gonna cost me money!!!!! me thinks its time to head back to horse and cart!!! :bowrofl:

good thinking, could go for a coast trip and bust out some tuffies down the espy in me horse n cart, i could get it to **** on the cars

Just thought I'd let ppl know that Errol at autopro in Kirwan can doa whole set of lifters for the magna for 95 bucks which equals about 11.85 per lifter, it was the best price in town, after ringing around several other places including pickerings, which for genuine were 48 bucks per lifter!!!!!! i nearly shat myself :bowrofl:
So there ya go!! No more rattly motor for me!!!
