Hi all.
I am removing the KL blackout cluster i have in at the moment and putting the stock cluster back in. I need to have about 30,000 klms added to the odometre reading(digital odometre). Can anyone recommend someone in Melbourne to do this and what would the cost be.
Thanks

Im not sure who it is but theres a place in sydney that my brother seems to know that will put what ever you want onto the speedo i think its like a $100 plus postage to have it done where he has the odd one adjusted

Advancing the cluster forward is easy. You just need to simulate the car driving at speed. Not sure with the KL, but with Kjs and any earlier, speed is a measures via an rpm signal, so you need to wire the rpm signal of a PC fan (brake off the blades to get more speed).
user magna_vrx_turbo built a great circuit that I followed. The kid is a genius! Check hianride thread. Super impressive!

Since you don't have a wiring diagram for the L/W series magna/rada's you need to find the power, ground, and speed signals that go to the cluster.

Thanks P.I. I am unable to find anything linked to that name at all.

Now that I'm not on my phone I can help you better.

Here's the clever little fella I was talking about: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/member.php?u=21642

The circuit he made for the cluster is in his impressive ride thread: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76313&p=1444387&viewfull=1#post1444387

The gist of the circuit is:
- Provide 12v power to the cluster on both ign & acc inputs. Provide separate adjustable power source to a 3 pin PC fan.
- Ground both cluster and fan together
- Feed RPM signal from fan to cluster. With the fan - break off the plastic blades to help it to spin faster. Also buy a few spare ones (I murdered about four fans before the 5th one worked fine). I picked out some fans from old computer psu units I found in the hard rubbish and the last one I bought from MSY for a steal.
