I've got a 2001 TJ VR-X and out of nowhere the front driver side speaker has developed an annoying buzz which increases with volume/bass. I have no idea what speakers are inside as i haven't changed them since i bought the car. I think i know how to access the speakers from a youtube video but not sure what to look for?

Basically look for a loose connection, if they are factory speakers then there will be 4 wires that clip together, hard for that to come loose, if its an aftermarket pair then a loose connection or loose tinsel lead could be the culprit.

Until you remove them and have a gander its all just guess work.

It turned out the speaker has a slight tear on the rubber which was causing the problem. I've partially fixed it by cramming it with blutak, sounds perfect again but we'll wait and see how well that blu tak holds up when its 40°C! haha
