I assume im in for some fun changing my heater core? Or is this something else maybe coincidental but heard a bubbling gurgling sound a few days ago when I turned car off

Most likely cause would be your heater core o-rings. Bypass your heater (temporarily) or get it looked at and the offending items replaced ASAP.
If you haven't already, check your coolant level.
I had the core, elbow pipes and o-rings replaced when my pipes snapped, figured might as well get it all knocked over in one go.

Ammerty can post the part numbers?
I see the o-rings are MR927776, heater core MR927775, how about the elbows?

Hi. I had my heater go on me and your computer that runs the car is at the end of the centre consule well covered against water, but with the amount of water from the heater in the under felt , as soon as the car is left in sun causes lots of condensation and causes lots of computer problems

My heater went. Under felt flooded. Computer sits at end of transmission tunnel with plastic shield over it. Doesn't stop condensation when sitting in the sun. Lots of computer troubles and dash board lights lit up constantly

When the KH sprung a leak Mal replaced the rings with rubber ones. No problems since.

Mine did the same after a service at a garage. Someone leaned on the connection at the core. Very wet flooring.
