My windscreen washers got so weak I thought I'd have a look at them.
Took the water tank out, rinsed it out and blew through the hose to clear it. Mmmmmm, thinks he, why is it dribbling UNDER the bonnet?
Little plastic T piece on the hoses under the bonnet snapped off in my hands. Explained the weak and dribbley washers. A quick trip down to the parts store, bought new wiper blades but no plastic T pieces in stock.
Went across the road to a Pet Shop, bought 2 T pieces used in fish tank air pumps, same size.
Assembled, tested - massive jets of water, straight over the roof! Needle to get them pointing right. Needless to say, the cheap wiper blades work brilliantly.
$1 for 2 T pieces (one into spares box) and about $5 for wiper blades.
Should have done this at the start of winter, really. lol
Anyhow, if your washers dribble and your blades smear, have a go. It's these little things that can go wrong that make your car a pain to drive.
