So following some issues with the idle of my car, I decided that I will order a new ISC (idle speed controller) and TPS (throttle position sensor with built-in idle position switch)

Rang Mitsu and the prices were unbelievable so I got to looking around on evilbay.

I have also discovered that the engine is in fact from a 1993 TR

Can anyone confirm if the ISC, TPS and o2 sensor's the same with different part numbers on both TR and TS V6??

They all look the identical in the photos I've seen, but of course that doesn't tell me if there is actually any differences with the working parts etc.

My ISC, and mine has printed on it E9T15371.
but this number does not come up to the 3L V6, it comes up to the later (TF) 3.5L

My TPS does NOT have any numbers on it anywhere :(

Also noticed when I took this photo the water pipe next to the ISC has some rust / corrosion on it. Any ideas what this feeds to or possible cause?? It is obviously coolant related but the cooling system is (SURPRISINGLY) in good condition, good coolant flow, and the coolant was very clean, though I replaced it as I don't know how old it is.

Second gen and third gen V6 engines run the same ISC and TPS.

Water pipe feeds the cold idle circuit, ups the idle speed when engine is cold.

There are ways of checking these components without replacing them.

On a high km second gen v6, idle roughness is more likely related to poor valve seating.

Have you pulled the ICS out and cleaned it, as well as the passages in the TB?
