View Full Version : looking for eye-brow heights of lowered springs on TS
I'm after the eyebrow height (distance from the centre of the wheel hub up to the top of the wheel arch/guard) for different lowered springs in the TR/TS V6 Sedan. In particular, Lovells Sports Low (25-40mm lower) - but other brands are okay - just let me know what brand/type of spring you have.
I'm also after the standard eye-brow height - so if anyone has brand new standard springs could you measure the eye-brow height too?
Thanks!
Kim :)

I can measure for you coz i have lowered springs but i have no idea what brand they are as they were already on the car when i brought it and i think the car was originally from sydney.
All i know is they are blue and a bit too low on the front (scrapes on some driveways and the right side bottoms out sometimes going over speed bumps).
Just tell me if you still want me to messure.
blue would be lovells. They are probably super lows. But yeah, can you measure?
Thanks!

Kim,
I have Kings Springs Low on the back which are blue and Kings Superlow spings on the front which are yellow. I'll measure the front up for you when I have a chance.

I measured today and the front was 33cm which is exactly 13inches. The back was 35cm.
And they are lovells as we found a tag on one of the springs saying "lovells springs" when i had it on the hoist at a friends work today.
Also found out i have new slotted discs and pads all round :D
cool, thanks for the measurements. How close is the rubber of your tyre to the guard on the front? Currently mine is 39cm at the front and 37cm at the rear. I looked at what 33cm at the front would be and it would look like the guard would sit on top of the tyre! :(
Hey kim,
There was a long thread done earlier this year or late last year asking everyone their lowing
amount and distances from ground. Try a search and see if its still there.

It is pretty close, i can only just fit my hand under there. It does bottom out occasionally when going over speed bumps and the bottom of the bumper scrapes a bit going in and out of my drive way unless i go real slow on an angle.
But it only does that on the right coner which is the corner the car had a big smash on (i brought the car from auction and got it fixed up). I also think the fact im using the spare which dosn't have much tread on it coz the car needs a wheel allignment badly is making some difference to the height of that right front corner.

I dunno how much the one for my ts were because they were on the car when i brought it.
But i did lowered springs all round for my last car (galant) and if i remember correctly they were around $100 a pair. Sorry can't remember exact price and the reciepts went with the car when i sold it.
