Pull one of each out and measure.
ES = TL or TW, I assume. If you have the stadard head unit, don 't blame the speakers. They sound much better with a good HU.

Most 6.5in speakers will fit at the front with the rears being 6x9s.

2nd that with the better quality head unit. I have always put aftermarket stereos in my cars. The speakers are surprisingly accurate at high volumes. Try just the h/u upgrade first before you ditch the stockers. I'm just going to add a sub when I've got some cash.

I upgraded my head unit and the speakers sounded 10 times better, to the extent that I can say quality isn't too bad especially for stock speakers.
Though I have a Verada not sure if the speakers are better or not.

Spetz do you have a centre speaker in the rear parcel shelf of your verada? It looks like an 8-10inch sub would fit there nicely in my magna.

Just don't go too big with the front speakers, I've got 6.5" Alpine X Type splits in the front and I needed to add a small spacer as the magnet was hitting the window when it was wound right down

I can see in the parcel shelf metal that there is a recess for an 8" free air subwoofer, but no there is no actual subwoofer there.
There is a member here who has cut out that hole and fitted a subwoofer (cannot remember who though)

Thanks spetz, I'd like to know if the parcel shelf rattles with a woofer in it..... Most probably...
Will probably just have to find out for myself. Haha

I'm sure it'll rattle a bit, but you can use dynamat and get rid of most of the rattles.
Really a boxed subwoofer would sound much better but if you want a bit of extra bass and aren't willing to sacrifice any trunk space then maybe it's a good option.
I have another car with a stock 8" sub in the parcel shelf and it sounds OK

Diamante's had the sub there, KE's had the hole cut and a plate over it
Remember, that if you cut the hole in the shelf your car is then not roadworthy as it was not cut by the factory. Here in Vic when doing a RWC a cut parcel shelf will deem the car un roadworthy until the shelf has been replaced (not a small task) and an engineers cert is then obtained.
I know that Mitsubishi made the area for putting a sub in there but you try and convince a RWC person of this. If done really neatly then you may get away with it but some of the butcher jobs I have seen are unreal
