Goodaye all.
I've got a TH and the outside mirrors make a bloody orrible whistling while driving, was wondering if mirrors from another model will fit and not bloody whistle all the time. The mirrors on it are stock ones.
Cheers, Harry

The mirrors on all the other third gens are the same shape so that won't fix your problem unless yours are broken, like have a crack or something. What sort of speed is this happening at?

It Might actually be the plastic bit that sits just above the mirrors that holds the glass in place, my old TJ and new my TE whistles a little in that spot. Some tape/glue would probably fix it.

At the top of the mirror, use some black electric tape about 50mm long and apply it to the black part of the mirror (where it connects to the body coloured part) from the highest point towards the outermost point on the mirror. The whistle should go away.
Because of the design of the mirror, it is important that it is assembled correctly. The Aussie clip on ones are glued sometimes badly.

Mine whistles at highway speeds. It whistles on the top corner of the mirror closest to the drivers window. When I put my finger on the top corner along the groove it stops. Some tape or silicone would stop it as mcs_xi suggested....

Cheers guys
I got another pair of side mirrors for $15 from a donor car. The ones that were on my car looked like they had been made in the backroom at silly sollys, these one looked more joined together with only a very small gap and no whistling except for a slight sound from the nearside. Thanks for all the suggests, I've had a gutful with taping the bloody things as the car lives outside and tape don't last long in rain and sun.
