Hi there, I have a 2000 TJ Magna Wagon and need to change the rear brake pads. Can someone tell me how to remove the rotors so I can have them machined .. Thanks for the help

They should be a hat arrangement and slide over the hub assembly. So once the caliper is removed they should just slide off with the handbrake released. I'll be doing mine in the near future, hope that's it, they do appear that way in the service manual.

If they've been on the car for many years they can become rusted on. In the Center (hat) part there are tapped holes. You need a couple of bolts to go into these holes and push the rotor off the car. From memory there are 2 holes (maybe 3) and they require 8mm bolts.

When pushing them off do it evenly using both bolts other wise you can damage the hat. You may need a soft hammer to help tap it off.

Those bolt holes in the middle of the rotor worked fine for me on one side the other not soo much, it stripped many times so I used WD40 around the threads let it sit for a few minutes and some well placed taps with a rubber mallet between the studs helped remove it. If you need to give it a belting just be careful not to damage anything and only really work on the hub section of the rotor.
