What happens if you use tyres that have a lower load rating than the car specifies?

I know for this gen Magnas the loads rating is 92, what happens if i use something lower? say 88?

is that all? Is it dangerous? If so how dangerous.. I know its meant to indicate the amount of weight the tyre can handle at certain speeds etc.. But how essential is it?

errr, the load ratings for the 2nd gen magna is 89, well thats for the wagon, and surely the sedan ain't any higher

the load rating tells you how much load (kg) the tyre can support at the correct pressure. Search the net and you'll find the respective weight for each load rating. Simply multiply the weight by 4 (ie. 4 wheels) and thats how much it will be able to handle.

Load rating has nothing to do with speeds. For that, its speed rating that you'd need to look for.

The base model 4 cylinders with 14 inch tyres may be 89 load rated but I'm pretty sure that
the ones with 15" wheels and v6 are 92 load rated. The first gens are 87 load rated. Don't
forget that the load rating is not the static loading, but the dynamic loading, e.g. during
braking where most of the weight gets transfered to the front wheels, also don't forget that
our magna/veradas are front heavy to begin with. If you end up in an accident because of tyre
failure due to under rated tyres, not only will your insurance not pay you a cent, you may be
charged for driving a dangerous vehicle (just something I read somewhere).
