The fuel pump on my carby TP sedan has given up. Wide search for a replacement has been unfruitful. Has any member any experience in fitting an external pump, keeping in mind the required low pressure output. Plenty of new EFI pumps are available, I note, but no one seems to list carby pumps. Thanks for any help

There are some on eBay but expensive compared to efi ones, e.g. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Magna-TN-TP-Carby-87-91-4Cyl-2-6L-In-Tank-Fuel-Pump-/120841310006?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AMagna|Plat_Gen%3ATP&hash=item1c22b40f36

You could modify the pickup in the tank after removing the current pump just some pipe will do that and then fit an external electric pump and use the current wiring may have to extend the wires. Facet are a good brand. Vee

I picked one up at Repco a few months ago, and it was about $75 from memory.

I should have said that mine is a TM, not sure if TP is the same.

Thanks to all for the prompt and good advice. I have ordered one from E-Bay. I obviously need to improve my searching skills
