I parked my car yesterday and used my remote to lock and set the car alarm system. When I returned 4 hours later the remote would not unlock the car or turn off the alarm. First thought the battery is flat but when I got home I tried again with my spare remotes x2 and none of the 3 remotes would turn the alarm or unlock the car. Thankfully by using the key in the door lock will deactivate the system but what has happened to the remote system. Anyone had the same issue and what did you do????? Thanks

Reprogram them and see how that goes.

It usually can be a faulty boot switch or door switch that triggers the alarm. The car thinks someone is breaking in.

Thanks Mike, I finally had a go at resetting the code for the remotes and the car is not going into reset mode. Even tried the reset for my lancer just incase I was doing the wrong reset start. Looks like something has caused a failure. First time this has happened.
