Anyone know if the 6A12 2.0 V6 24 Valve DOHC motor from HJ Galant will fit 1st gen magna's.
Know of them being put into Early to Mid 90's Lancers which have the 4G63 that will fit the Magna 1st gen mostly the 4G63T has been put into a couple of Magnas.
Not sure if you would have to use the Galant gearbox (think it might be F5M42)considering the bellhousing are probably different from the Magna KM215. Vee

probably not with a whole front end modification
brakes upgrade/ steering/ wheels/ radiator/ engine mounts /chassis strengthing
can be done for off road apllication maybe drags not sure
not for the road legal fittment for nsw compliance ..that would be hard
only best option it to seek out the new zealands version of the v3000 first gen magna
then modify that engine etc... to the max
we looked into it a while ago you can fit extra valve heads to that v3000 base V6 block
supercharge it turbo etc
the gearbox / splines / just bolt on no problems .

Nz V3000 1st gerneration is the same as what we had here brake steering and chassis wise and had 125kw so the DOHC Galant 2.0 110kw motor would not require and upgrades and from what i have found out just some mounts to be re-made or possibly bought off the shelf due to galant, lancer and magna around that era sharing some similarities. Nz V3000 still had four stud hubs. Got a line on 1st gen v3000 for parts!!!
Biggest hassle is the new changes coming into effect for certification nsw ..........soon you would need certification for some of the simplest things that everyone has done for years.........changing diff ratios............roller rockers...........
NSW gone from 140 odd certifying engineers to 40 odd due to alot giving up because of the red tape and having to put their butts on the line if something goes wrong in the future i have been told. Vee
