Am just about to buy a Series 2 2002 VR-X and was wondering ,what features are built into the car ,but not hooked up or used.

ie...pretty sure the footwell plugs are there ,but ,just need to install the globe holder and plug.

also ,i think the ignition barrel wiring is there ,but it just needs a globe or holder ?

Anybody know of any other things that can be discovered. ?

The TJ2 defiantly has the cutouts for foot well lighting.

As with (i think) all 3rd Gens the dash pod speakers just slot in.

My TJ2 had wiring for footwell lighting already there. Passenger side was taped up in the loom so took a bit of searching, and had to remove the panel under the glovebox to get to it. As you say, only need to plug in the globe holders and fit the lenses and you are there. Wiring for key illumination was also there apart from the last short section and globe.

Ok:

As stated,

All footwell wiring was present in series 2, the glovebox lamp was wired and usually installed for VRX as part of the climate wiring, the key light wiring is there, but you need the small loom with the plug and the globe.

The VRX may have been prewired for the dash top speakers, some were, som wern't depends on the build.

I couldn't see the wiring for ether the foot well lights or the dash speakers.

I couldn't see the wiring for ether the foot well lights or the dash speakers.

They are taped up (lightly) so they don't rattle on plastic. You are only looking for a small plug with 2 wires in it remember. The footwell ones are grey, and the dash speaker plugs are white.

They were all in my TJ 1.5 (MY02 not Series 2) Advance.
