Hello to all.
I am hoping someone can help as i am ready to use this car as target practice
i have been trying for five days to get this car to run.
what happened was that it started fine we went 2klm down the road made a right turn and nothing i died without warning and the car just would not start.
have had two mechanics look at it one said fuel pump and the other said it was flooding.
what i have done so far.
new plugs and sucked out any fuel that may have been left there.
new fuel pump.
new filter.
cleaned throttle body.
cleaned what electrical fittings i could get to.
checked all fuses.
have nothing to test relays.
reset computer several times.
wants to start but will not
black gases will come from exhaust if you have the throttle open as you crank it
have disconnected and reconnected the leads from the BEM and checked the connections at the ignition and still nothing.
there was a problem of the headlights staying on after being turned off.

hope someone can help.

..GONE..

Take a look at the ECU make sure it's not fried..

Confirmed you're getting power to the BEM?

When you say you sucked out any fuel that may have been in the pots, how much did you suck out? ........ black gasses coming from the exhaust when you crank the engine means flooding, possible causes would be stuck injectors, a buggered relay, something wrong with the ecu. i would lay odds on the first 2 though, take out the front 3 spark plugs (the easy ones to get to) and crank the engine, see if any fuel spits out of the spark plug holes. see if its just one hole, or all 3, if its just say 1 hole, then its a stuck injector, if its all 3 then more then likely its an electrical issue.

Thanks Ziek
i could not tell how much fuel i sucked out but before i sucked it out you could see it coming out when you cranked the engine.
Where abouts would the relay be?
How do you remove the injectors to clean them?

Cheers

Hi
Put it on a tow truck and end it here, you can spend $$$ changing things and hours looking or you can send it here (truck will cost you $150) and I will probably have a solution for you fairly quickly

yeah, Madmagna is right, and since your so close there i would go to him, i had a similar problem with my car. you cant really clean the injectors yourself.
