Does anyone know if/how I can remove the covers for the front quarter panel indicators? Their dazzling whiteness is ruining my black on orange theme...Also thinking of tinting the foglamps dark to the point where they could be used as DRLs. Thoughts?

Just change the indicators. I got these from the UK. A few months ago, smoked evo ones.

They're a bit darker then stock but still give out good light. Around the $20 mark for the pair on eBay

I fitted a pair of these a couple of years ago:
Mitsubishi Lancer Side Marker Lights Pair VIII EVO 8 9 SMOKE 02-06 OZ RALLY (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-Lancer-Side-Marker-Lights-Pair-VIII-EVO-8-9-SMOKE-02-06-OZ-RALLY-/161157199688)
Quite dark, almost black.
The stockers are a little fiddly to get out, you have use a fair bit of leverage to pop them out.
Then I and others (D-VAN for one) have found that the replacements don't quite clip all the way in and fit flush, one side wants to stick up from the bodywork a bit. Only a mm or two but enough to be annoying. I simply superglued those sides down, and they never came loose at all.
I also found that they fitted better if you replace the felt-like backing pieces they come with with the OEM backing pieces on the stockers. Easy job, only takes a few seconds.

So the stockers just pop out? Im doing all this with a literal zero dollar budget at the moment. And what of nightshading the foggies? Ive used them once my whole life, may as well make em pretty.

Yep, just poke a small flat blade screwdriver under the edge and gently lever. Wrap the tip in some cloth/material to avoid scratching the paintwork. I can't remember whether you poke it under the thick or thin end, one end works the other doesn't. I'm guessing the then end is more likely. Maybe Kif or D-VAN can remember.
Sorry, can't help you with nightshading the foggies, never had foggies anyway and never used nightshade!

It's still technically a foglight so you would risk being fined for operating a foglamp in clear conditions.
Most DRLs are super bright too so that they stand out in the daytime. Covering them in tint would defeat this purpose.
You could tint them for aesthetics and just not use them....

Seeing as the fog lights get stuff all use ,why not just install a set of DRL's and be safe .Wire them up correxctly and you wont have a problem.
It is legal to run the drl in the fog location as well.
