Hay guys

My te manual had abs fault code 12. Front left abs sensor not working properly. Took the sensor out couldn't even see the sensor as it was caked with dirt and cv oil. So I cleaned the sensor. But I need to clear the code. Tried disconnecting battery didn't work. Is there any other way to clear? Will the break system work properly now or until the fault code is clear?

Cheers

If disconnecting the battery still leaves you with the CEL, you haven't completely fixed the problem (the reset ECU has determined that a problematic condition still exists).

I haven't got a Mitsubishi magna manual. Can anyone double check for fault code 12. For the breaking system. I saw a thread that's said front left sensor. But just wanting to confirm this.

Cheers

That's correct - according to my Ellerys manual.

The ABS system, if the fault is with the sensor disconnecting the battery and re connecting even after putting a new sensor in will do nothing. The way to reset is with either a MUTT OR you can take the car for a drive and the code will clear if the sensor is now back online, think from memory takes either 250m or 500m, cant remember which

I end up getting another sensor from another car. Has fixed the problem the anti-lock light when off after I little drive abs is working fine.

Thanks for the correction.
