Well that's a loaded question. They are quite easy so not really a challenge and therefore I wouldn't call it fun.

Yeah I spose it was a loaded question, sorry about that. What I really meant was my fingers don't move like they used to and to mine eye it looks as though there is not a hell of a lot of room for arthritic fingers and hands in there, I'm used to old cars that you can stick your head under and behind the dash. Will get a book to see how to undo what needs to undone regarding the radio. Thank for the reply.
Cheers

Hi Harry

Its not to hard to change over the stereo can be a little fiddly but not to bad

Last year I managed to chop a chunk out of my fingers on my left hand that required surgery and extensive physio due to music always skipping I brought a new head unit and changed it on side of the road before the long drive home from the appointment.

Basically remove the face plate from around the gear changer put in N for an auto then grab at coin holder and and pry/pull up. (Sorry dont have a manual but can't be to much different)

Then remove ashtray and pull that panel removing the plugs to the lighter socket and light globes as you go.

Next remove the panel above that surounds the head unit and temp controls remembering to unplug hazard light plug as you go

Then just unscrew there are 4 screws 2 up top and 2 at bottom be careful not to drop them you may never see them again and unplug headunit. Supercheap auto will normally stock wiring harnesses to save splicing etc.

Getting it all back together is the fiddly part just getting it to line up and clip in you just have to stick with it

Hope this helps you also if you use the search on the forums someone here has service manuals.
