Did the Sports come from the factory with a rear sway bar fitted ? previous owner had a Pedders full suspension package fitted (or should I say fool suspension package) so it has a heavy duty rear sway bar fitted. my new ride which is a TJ LE manual does not have any brackets fitted to the trailing arms to mount the links that are on the Pedders sway bar, I'm guessing by now you can see what I want to do,I cant see the point in selling the the Sports with heaps of after market parts on it when they can be transferred to the TJ.

You need to transfer the rear sub-frame to get the mounts.

TH Sports IIRC did not have the factory fitted rear swaybar, TJ VRX/Ralliart does, TL/TW's had them from factory across all models.
The swaybar mounts to the control arms, then to the subframe, not the trailing arms.
My rear end in my TE needed to have some control arm and trailing arm bushes replaced, and I also wanted a rear swaybar. So I found a TL at the wreckers and took the whole subframe including control arms with me.
Here you can see the TE subframe against the TL Frame I got and tidied up.

You can see how it mounts to the control arm. The aftermarket kits have links that make this possible but there have been alot of complaints about fitting the aftermarket ones, especially the whiteline ones.

Peaandham, what are the complaints about with the Whiteline swaybars?

O.K After taking the heavy duty Pedders swaybar of the the car, and yes I stand corrected,I used wrong terminology it is/was mounted to the L&R control arms. I figure now I need to get a pair of TL or TW control arms from the wreckers, I'm pretty sure if I said "VRX" the price would go up, right ?

Also keep in mind aswell in that photo of mine the swaybar is mounted upside down :P
Also, remember that some aftermarket bars use different mounts to factory. Also whiteline can hit the exhaust sometimes. I know mine does over bumpy roads

This is a swaybar fitted the right way up.

Some complaints with the aftermarket ones which are normally adjustable to three settings are that people keep braking the mount that attaches the bar to the axle because they have put it on the hardest setting and the brackets aren't as high tensile as they should be, also a few people have documented having issues with the aftermarket ones on the medium setting aswell, so that can still also brake brackets.

Ive read around (I couldnt find the thread I once read it on) was that some people had issues with the nut and the threads on the sway bar links, but not too sure what they were referring too there.
