Ok so long story short I am putting a 3.5l TH engine into a KF body and today I have noticed after bolting aircon compressor to its bracket it pokes out about 2inchs to far.

Is it just me or is it different and will using the kf bracket rather then the th one solve my problem.

All and any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Clive.

Use the KF Bracket on the TH motor

Now you say after bolting on the compressor to the bracket, I take it you have degassed the compressor and removed it with the motor. There is absolutely no need to do that as there is no need to remove the power steering pump from the car either like so many people do. Both pumps can be left in the car with fluid / gas intact

Thank you very much Mal you are a god send.

And no I hadn't degassed it I left it hanging from rad support (as I had read on here before I started engine removal) as well as power steering pump (though I did disconnect pump from the resiviour to clear the pipe out of the way (partly due to having gimpy fingers and wanting abit more room to see also)

I had only noticed the problem when I tried to bolt the kf ac compressor to the bracket already attached to the th engine.

So I shall rescue the kf bracket from the old engine tomorow and use it.

I have also noticed a difference in the TH vs KF throttle bodys as well due to the different injector harnesses so well be sure to keep it aside aswell.

Thanka once again Mal and Merry Christmas to you.

Cheers Clive
