Has anyone fitted a Hyundai 3.8 MIVEC engine to a Mitsubishi 380 ?

Not that I've ever seen. Why would you bother?

As far as I know its a completely different engine to the 6g75. Would be alot easier to fit a mivec 6g75 imported from the states.

Also, what's the points when a 6G75 can bring stepping around 170-180kwatw. Also didn't the 3.0 mivec in the diamante bring a similar figure?

If it's a Hyundai, it wouldn't have MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system)

Hyundai have used Mitsubishi motors for some years, at least back to the late 90s. In fact a few different manufacturers have.

The Hyundai 3.8 (also found in some Kias) is not a Mitsubishi motor... as even you pointed out. Therefore, it cannot have MIVEC; instead, it has Hyundai's own CVVT.

An excellent motor from all accounts. Wish our i40 had it instead of an 1.7l diesel.....
