Hi folks.
I've got a db 380 2005 model. Going well, I've had it 6 months. In that timeI've always had a rattle coming from passenger side front door. I know there's been a couple of threads on it, but I'm stuffed. It happens when going over train tracks and rough roads. I've taken the door trim off but I can't see anything to suggest where it could come from . It sounds like the top middle part of the door. Maybe inside the door, just below window. Near door handle. But it's not that. Any help would be good. And yes, I may have to take the door apart. Also sorry about this message if any major language mistakes. Damn phone keyboard.

have you tried winding your window down a bit n wiggle the glass. if its part of the window assembly you should be to hear it rattle a bit. pretty much every rattle I've ever hear coming from the inside of the frame is the window assembly being a bit loose with the exception of a previous owner leaving a socket in the door lol. after that check the wiring plugs still mounted firmly inside the door

Thanks mate. I will try anything given to me as advice. Although I do notice that I have a slight rattle when I go over bumps in my front suspension left side. could it be related? I'm getting that looked at soon.

front suspension knocking over bumps is usually a sway bar bush. very common for these to wear out. mine need replacing atm as well so I can't say the rough cost or diy difficulty cause I haven't bothered yet but just got a set of 20's delivered today so I'm going to have to do mine when the rims are put on

Slight update. After taking door trim off again and driving around, if I hold onto the foam that holds the wires from the door lock to the mechanism behind the door, the noise goes away, only to resonate on the steering wheel. Im stuffed.

that's extremely unusual, could be that stopping the rattle and listening out for any out of place noise no matter how small may have made you notice something new

Yeah it has me knackered. I know the dash and sunglass holder have rattles, and I may need new swaybar bushes. Im wondering if its the suspension that is causing it to make a noise in the door... Im beat for answers.....

I had a similar rattle/buzz for years, sounded like it was coming from the front corner of the passenger side door, near the glove box.
Like you I ripped panels off left right and centre, stuck foam padding all over the place, fiddled with the door handle, fiddled with the glove box latch, no joy.
Eventually tracked it down to the front seat rail cover clip, the one closest to the front left hand corner of the car. It was loose as hell, once removed no more buzz/rattle. Shoved it back on then poked a heap of black foam rubber under it, all fixed.

Yep, it could be any of a dozen different things!

What I found was that the noise isn't necessarily caused by something in the place you can hear the noise coming from. With interior acoustics and various resonances getting into the cabin from both inside and outside, the cause can literally be metres away.

So I took the sunglass holder out to put some of those white globes in that people are raving about. Well to cut a long story short, I went for a drive with it still out, and my door rattle has gone. There is a rattle in the dash but I can live with that as the stereo drowns it out. Just wonder what will happen when the sunglass holder goes back in! Although I have felt taped the edges to hold it still, as I don't use it.

just bend the metal clip that latches the sunglass holder in, that will tighten it up nicely.
