So this is my 1997 Mitsubishi Verada KF Xi with 180kms which i got for 3.5k and i was wondering what i could do to improve it! performance and appearance wise!
This is my first time owning a magna/verada and i will be investing a considerable amount of money into it because i love these cars! is this a good buy or did i get ripped off?
also is there any major issues or downfails i should be aware of with these cars?

Thank guys in advance :D

Hi Nice ride and welcome to the club, :) i would start with handling, wheels and suspension this will enhance the feel of your car, then you can move on to other things.

looks in good nick, I have a XI KH 2000 model, same colour as yours, bought mine in 2011 with 203,000 k's for 5k, so 3.5k for yours considering the condition and the k's is not bad. Don't forget the big 200,000 k service

Welcome!
I would start with a Whiteline Performance front strut bar, cheap and provide stability at the front. Also look good when the bonnets up! ;)

Then maybe upgrade the wheels. I'd stay with Mitsubishi brand, ideally wheels from a 380 will fit nicely. 380 GT wheels i suggest

Then maybe upgrade the head unit (if that hasn't been done already?) and maybe speakers to. I'd do this relatively early as the cabin is the place you'll be in the majority of the time

Add some pics of the inside to

Does it have a sunroof? I think I can see it or it might just be a reflection. If so check the seals around that and invest accordingly, that'll be wise

Looks good mate. 18" wheels would look sweet, lower the suspension a bit, clean and paint inside the wheel arches black, dark legal tint.. that's a good start for appearance.

Hey guys, does my model car come with a keyless entry remote? I didnt receive one on purchase, if so how would I go about getting a replacement one?

seems a very fair price. I paid $4500 for mine but i'm in Cairns and everything here automotive is far more expensive
Mines the Ei and no fancy leather, but it does have some factory extra's, namely 17" alloys which look far better than the stock wheels, and the rear spoiler which adds a bit of class. Without a spoiler they look like a magna imo

Note when I say spoiler its purely cosmetic and provides no benefit, it's very low. Which is good because it doesn't make you look like a dick head i.e.

Spoilers have no place on 3rd gens IMHO.

Car looks good

Spetz are you American? in Australia we call what you call the trunk the "boot" LOL, yes its a CD stacker KE/KF had a 10 stacker CD in the boot, KH Verada's had a 6 stacker under the front passengers seat.

Don't be jealous
The factory spoiler looks great on the Verada's and should have been a stock option.

The KF XI, does have a keyless remote but if you want one it will cost you about $280.

I had an after market mongoose alarm fitted as opposed to buying a new remote from Mitsubishi.

You can, if you want them to put in whatever which honestly most of the time It would probably be monroe shocks and some king springs.

I bought my springs and shocks from Madmagna (forum admin on here), I bought them because they were quite cheap for Boge Shocks (which are really good shocks) and king springs, and so they would've cost about the same as what I could've bought something of lesser quality from down here. When I bought them I wasnt game to fit them so I took them to my mechanic and had him fit them.

Just be careful of places like pedders, their components in magna's dont seem to get too much love.

Start a thread here to find out what springs suit you best, in terms of ride height, stiffness etc.
You would then either get them ordered by a suspension shop and fitted, or buy them and supply them to the suspension shop to fit
