What would be involved in fitting a sunroof from an Xi into a non sunroof equipped third gen?

Cutting a hole in the roof then slipping the sunroof in, silicone, run the drain pipes and wire it up.. I put a sunroof in an old fairlane and it's the same thing.. Only thing is it's a little nerve racking cutting a big hole in a perfectly good roof.. Took me and a mate half a day, and can't see the magna sunroofs being much different

There is no need to respray I assume?
I cannot remember the details but someone told me about a need to weld in some structure beams etc?

IIRC the sunroof and non sunroof roof skin bracings are different.

What does this mean, need a sunroof roof skin to be welded in?

Sunroof from factory has different structure.

Silicone, no
Roof skin from factory is rolled on edges. To fit requires complete skin replacement. Have done this and works out similar in cost to aftermarket unit but in my opinion better

big job roof skin needs to be replaced also as there is extra bracing and a folded lip around the sunroof hole.

What kind of a cost would that be?
Am getting very tempted to do something like this to my car, really didn't want an aftermarket job though.
