Hello.
I am new to the Aussie Magna Club. I have just purchased a 2004 TW VRX AWD. I had a FWD Magna many years ago and I am impressed by the build quality and features of my new AWD.
I would like some advice on whether the AWD will respond well to being lowered. I am Adelaide based.
I am also looking to purchase a Rear Sunshade (I note otherwise referred to as a Grandpa Wing).
Can anyone assist?
Thank you.

I own a TL AWD VRX and had it lowered. As for lowering I did have Kings Lows all round. It looked good but with the extra weight of the AWD I was constantly hitting the bump stops and the car skipped over bumps rather than follow them due to the much shorter travel of the shocks. I ended up getting some springs off Madmagna, Dobinsons springs which are about 20mm lower than stock. Equivalent to Kings SP rated springs. I now have a slightly lowered ride, along with suspension travel and don't have front bar scrapping issues.

With the Dobinsons SP rated springs the car is much flatter around corners.

A good wheel alignment makes a huge difference as well.

For the sunshade, they are no longer available new from Mitsubishi, they used to cost about $140. You would have to find one second hand from another member or on eBay/Gumtree now. There were three types. One was black and quite flat with no high mount brake light cutout, one was black and a big bigger/more aggressive with a high mount brake light cutout (I have this one) and one is a fake Carbon Fibre style check print and said Sports on it, and was the flat shape.

Thanks for the information. I will keep looking and hope to pick up a sunshade. I do prefer the one you have on your verada as well. Cheers.
