Recently, I bought the GPS which was fitted to the early 2000's Veradas.

The unit starts up ok, but it is asking me for a Security code.

Is there a default code that the system uses?

Also, the remote has two plugs on the end that plugs into the unit, but i can only match the pins on one of the plugs. Is there another part i am missing?

The plug is pinned to only fit in the one slot.

I am only guessing and never had a chance to try it - but there is an IR reciever that may plug into the other slot that you can use a wireless remote with.

I have no idea about the security code though. Never came across it when I installed mine.

Purely a guess, but sometimes the default code is 0000 (ie four zeroes)

Since there is a remote that should work on the unit which from what i can see i already have a IR reciever from my Blaupunkt stereo system from the same vintage, Does any one know where i could get a reverse camera to plug into it as it has the option for it in the menu and would be a upgrade that i wouldnt mind having just cause i can
