Hay guys

Ran into an issue with my evo clutch install. Need quick answers please. Clutch installed onto flywheel new bearing onto gearbox. Have bolted the gearbox back togethor then went to flick my clutch fork over to engage bearing and having issues with it not clicking into place. Are these by any chance hard to flick over. I can't seem to work out were I went wrong. Can anymore assist or let me know on your expierences?

Cheers

Also does it matter Wat gear the car is in? Would that effect it engaging.

Sounds like the bearing isn't centred/aligned properly on the input shaft. There is some play and if it isn't lined up parallel/concentric to the input shaft it will not engage.

The bearing only goes on one way on the input shaft doesnt it? I had the clutch fork connected perfectly and was moving up and down that I remember pritty freely.

Moving on now. Figured I've made an error somewhere. took all the bolts off the gearbox and tried to remove again. Have ran into another issue now. The clutch fork is faced towards the engine fully as if the bearing has been released. BUT as soon as I start to move the gearbox off the engine the fork moves the opposite way as if I've locked the bearing back in. So then I tried to release the bearing with my flat head again pulling the clutch fork towards the slave cylinder it doesn't seem to wanna unlock now. I only gave it a couple off gos will try in the morning. But it's unusual cause it didn't lock the bearing in place when I put the gearbox back on. But now I'm trying to remove the gearbox its acting like it's attached. And I have to release it again. Wtf.
