Hi there, I've got a tl magna and the fan on the air con seems really weak.. It blows ice cold as I got a new evaporator and re gassed less then 12 months ago.. From memory it's been pretty weak ever since I got the car even with the heater going, I thought it was just Magnas having crap fans till I got in a mates TJ and my fan on full isn't even as good as his on the number 3 setting.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The fan motors are pretty much sealed and it sounds like it's wearing out so I'd just source a new one from a wreckers. They're located beneath the glovebox and easy to replace. Just a few screws and a plug. I always have mine on and had to replace the fan motor a couple of years ago as it became weak and eventually died.

Are all third gen magna fans the same? Or is it different cause it has climate control?

I'd say they would be as there's no reason why Mitsu would install a different fan motor for the climate control version, but you never know.

In any case, my replacement came from a TF. The only difference I could see was that it was made in Japan whereas my TJ fan motor was made in Australia.
