It was going to happen sooner or later! Daughter broke the TL, passenger electric window is down and unresponsive.
Haven't seen it yet, will get the car on Thursday, swapping for my TJ. (Which she will then break, and we swap again - never-ending story. lol)

No idea what I'm talking about here as I've not seen the inside of an electric window door, so help me out please!

What usually goes kaput?
Whole reg needed as per 380, or is there a cheaper fix?

(Car will also need oil and filter change, general check-over,tyre pump up, fluid checks, and no doubt a big internal clean-out and wash/polish, but that's a given. lol)

I would first check the switch, see if you can plug the rear window plug into the pass side plug and see if the window works.

usually the cable breaks easier just to change the whole winder mech.

Check the switch and other electrics? Yep, will do. If it is like the 380 setup, it probably is one of those white plastic pulleys that has broken and the cable is off, or the cable just broke. Trip to the wreckers coming up, I think. Or the Mit$u dealer. Wonder if they have them, and how many wheelbarrows of $1 coins I should bring?

Anyway, I will see on Thursday.

It is fixed!
Passenger front window, wriggled the switch sideways and it worked again. So obviously not the cable, pulleys or motor, just the switch.

Pulled the switch block out of the TL, dismantled and cleaned up the switch contacts, they were rather burnt but cleaned up well. Surprisingly easy to do. All working well now.
