View Full Version : CD Deck keeps cutting out at certain loudness or car speeds
Just got my magna a few weeks ago and its been fine. Now my CD player is playing upo and i can't for the life of me figure out how to fix it. Basically if its over two bars in loudness the music stops but the cd player keeps going as if its working, the timer on the deck also sometimes stops but keeps playing. If i take off quickly or it cuts out or if i go fast it cuts out. Anyone got any ideas?
just guessing, but maybe a dodgy earth? as in your 'earth' wire isnt connected to a very good place...

i had that problem, but i checked that and it was it, and ended up later finding out one of speaker wires was touching metl, so it stopped the music, but kept playing, check ur speaker wiring.......

I've seen a headunit do really strange things when one of the wires was grounded (I "might" have accidentally put a screw through the wire.. maybe) It was turning off all the time, and randomly playing/stopping. etc.
That could definately be something to check.
